My Biggest Secret: Raw Superfood Chocolate Recipe!

Organic/ Raw/ Nut Free/ Gluten Free... And it tastes heavenly! What's in it?

I like to hide all tasteless superfoods in all my recipes. Here is a great example of a chocolate recipe I came up with, hiding bee pollen, hemp hearts and sunflower seeds. Those ingredients are packed with great nutrition and hard to eat by themselves. My kids love this chocolate and eat it on a daily basis. They can easily finish a 4oz jar of this chocolate (and then ask for more) in one sitting!

Many people ask me where I get my recipe ingredients from. If you are eating plenty of raw foods you may already have everything on hand in your pantry. For those who don't and are curious and eager to start their chocolate tasting adventure right away, I've linked the recommended by me products in the recipe below.

Ingredients:
2 cups Sunflower Seeds (soaked for 2 to 10 hrs. and drained)

4 tbsp. Cacao Powder
1 tbsp. Vanilla Bean Powder
1 tbsp. Honey
1/4 cup Coconut Oil
1/4 cup Cacao Butter, roughly chopped
2 cups filtered water
1 tbsp bee pollen/ optional
1 tbsp hemp hearts/ optional
Method:
Blend in a high speed blender (I use Blendtec) until smooth for up to 2 minutes.
At this point you can transfer your chocolate to molds or jars and freeze to solidify.
